[condition] The binding is tight and well preserved, with only the lightest fraying at the head and foot of the spine. Corners show minor wear and the gilt stamping remains bright and fully legible. Internally the pages are clean overall with expected age toning and light foxing to the endpapers and preliminaries. No tears or markings beyond the gift inscription noted above. A solid and attractive copy with genuine shelf presence.
