The rim measures 7 inches across at its widest. The body narrows toward the base, so the bottom is smaller than the rim.

This is a new pot, made and finished to look old, so read the surface as intentional rather than as wear. The clay is sound with no cracks or breaks. The pale bloom across the body and toward the base is an applied aged finish, not mineral deposit from use. The hand-pinched rim has small irregularities along the ruffle, which come from being formed by hand rather than being flaws. There is a single drainage hole in the base, formed as part of the pot.
