English Brass Decorative Salvage Eagle Plaque

This spread wing brass eagle, cast heavy and solid, has been separated from whatever it was originally mounted to. It reads as salvage now, meant to stand on its own rather than dress a larger piece. Oak leaf and acorn wreath around a plain shield, English brass, no mark to tell me who made it or exactly when.

Heavy and sound, with crisp high relief modelling throughout and no cracks, splits, or repairs noted. Untouched patina, with no evidence of machine buffing or polishing at the high points. The handle originally fixed to the two front pegs is missing. The pegs themselves are intact, with no sign of breakage or damage at the point of attachment. The reverse shows the expected casting texture with no later solder or fill. Please review all photographs closely, as they form part of this description.
