It sits on a shallow plinth base fitted with a single drawer, the kind of small dressing piece meant to live on a chest or dressing table and used for daily grooming. The figured birch has a soft honey glow that catches morning light, and the whole thing carries the restrained, architectural lines of the Biedermeier tradition it borrows from. Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. The mirror plate shows light surface haze and scattered spotting. There is expected wear and some water staining to the plinth top and sides, visible mostly from above. The plywood back board shows marks, a few scratches, and light staining. Small nylon glide pads have been added under the bun feet at some point and are not original. Brass hardware has a mellowed tone and the thumbscrews function. The drawer runs smoothly. The piece is stable and displays well.
