Pair of Vintage Small Marble Vases

A turned marble baluster pair from the Indian hardstone trade, cut and polished from a heavily veined brown, gold, and cream stone. The two vases are matched in form, each a footed urn shape with a flared rim and a drilled center that lets them hold a single stem. The veining runs differently through each one, so they read as a true pair rather than identical copies. Both keep their original "Made in India" foil labels on the base, and one carries an incised square cartouche. A practical, sculptural pair for a shelf, mantel, or console.
