[condition] Both volumes present very well. The bindings are tight and secure, with minor rubbing to the leather at the corners and spine ends, consistent with age and use. The marbled boards retain their vivid coloration, and the gilt on the spines remains bright and fully legible. Internally, the pages are clean and free of markings, with only slight age toning and a few light wrinkles to the front endpapers of Volume I. No loose pages, and the hinges in both volumes remain firm. A handsome, complete set in honest and attractive condition.
